Children and parents gathered at the church to remember those who fought for our country in the World Wars. We had some beautiful artwork, poems and messages made by the children to show what they had been learning in class about Remembrance Day.
Year 5 and 6 enjoyed a share afternoon as parents came to be ‘the dragons’ in a wonderful presentation of children’s work. The children had designed and made a product that would make the lives of people with disabilities easier in some way. Ideas ranged from braille stationery to grabber devices. All the children were very brave and pitched their ideas well to the dragons. Everyone went away with a deal!
Year 5 and 6 had a visit from Mrs Elkins (Science teacher at Litcham High School). She brought in pigs’ hearts for the children to dissect. This was a great follow-on lesson after learning about the heart and the circulatory system in our own Science lessons.
4 of our Y6s took part in the Northgate Primary Maths Challenge this morning.
Please see the leaflet below for details of Premier Sport’s gymnastics after school club.

The Year 5s went to Northgate this morning to participate in a CAD/CAMs workshop. They designed their own door signs with little monsters on. The technician then used a laser-cutting machine to make the signs.
The Year 6s fast-forwarded to the Year 2100 and held a class reunion, reminiscing about their life events and time at North Elmham Primary. It was a funny sketch they put together, returning to the school as 90 year olds. The children also gave out some awards they had written for members of staff.

Well done to all the children who were awarded trophies for their efforts in school, especially to the Year 6s who have all been a wonderful, hard-working bunch of children. Best wishes to everyone who is moving on to a new school next year.
