Sheep Class
Welcome to our Reception and Year 1 Class
Sheep class teachers are Sophie Cairns and Kelly Hunter.
We are called Sheep class, after the parable of the Lost Sheep, and every child matters to us, just as every sheep mattered to Jesus. But don’t let our name fool you..we may start off in Reception as lambs, but we soon grow into independent, inquisitive and imaginative young learners! We have a lovely newly refurbished classroom, filled with quality resources and inspiring activities to get stuck into! We are also very lucky to have a huge, wooded outdoor area where children can get busy gardening, building in our large construction area, cooking in our mud-kitchen, or digging in our sensory area. There really is something for every kind of sheep in our class!
We do like to be by the seaside!
We have had a wonderful day at North Elmham beach playing traditional beach games, building sandcastles, splashing in the sea and eating delicious ice lollies! We even had our very own donkey rides!
Sheep Class Tennis Festival
We had a great morning taking part in the Tennis Festival. Click on the photograph for more pictures.
Archery and Fencing
Thank you to Premier Sport for our Archery and Fencing sessions! Click on the photograph for more pictures…
Potato salad anyone?
After chitting, planting and caring for our potatoes in our outdoor area we noticed that our potatoes were ready to harvest. Today, we boiled our potatoes, chopped them and other ingredients to make our own potato salad! #responsiveplanning #highlevelsofengagement
Drawing with Scissors
We have been learning about Henri Matisse and his concept of Drawing with Scissors. We used his artwork of a snail to inspire our own mini-beast artwork.
