Another great day. Same activities, different groups, much nicer weather.

Malham 19 Day 2
What a brilliant day! We split into 3 groups: Group 1 have been climbing and abseiling, Group 2 have been up to Malham Tarn, pond dipping, Feb building and walking, and Group 3 have been caving. We might have got a bit soggy but it didn’t dampen our spirits. Follow the link to view the album from the day.
Malham 19 Day 1
We’ve had a great first day. Uneventful journey up, delicious dinner, fantastic walk to Malham cove and now to bed.

Momo Challenge Advice
Dear Parents/ Carers,
Over the past couple of days there has been quite a bit of concern raised by both adults and children about the ‘Momo Challenge’ which appears to have gone viral and caused quite a stir.
Having looked into it, it appears to be a hoax but the worry it has caused is nonetheless real.
Time has been spent in school to demystify the whole thing, explain what fake news and hoaxes are and what it means when something goes viral on the Internet.
Please follow the link to the BBC Newsround Report explaining how it is a hoax. It would be great if you watch this with your children (we advise KS2 children only) so that the same message is put across at home as well as at school.
This link will take you to the NSPCC Net Aware website which is designed specifically to support parents in understanding the many different social media networks out there and how your children might use them.
Thank you to parents who reported this to us so we could act upon it in a timely manner. It is so important that we work together to ensure the safety of our children, make them digitally literate, equip them to make the right choices when online and discern fact from fiction.
If you have any further concerns please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s teacher.

Parking at the Surgery
The surgery has been in touch this morning to say that there’s quite a few people parking in their car park at drop off and pick up time at school. They even reported that one parent had parked in the emergency bay the other day which presents a serious problem should they need to call an ambulance.
We appreciate that parking at these times can be a challenge but they would like to remind people that the car park is for surgery use only.
Many thanks,
Mr I
A day learning about our coast
Year 5 and 6 from Stibbard and North Elmham have had a great day today visiting Cromer and Overstrand. Whilst there they learnt about the important work that the RNLI does to keep us safe at sea. They took part in a drama showing the bravery of Henry Blogg and they learnt about the erosion taking place along our coastline. It was also great for the two schools to get together and make some new friends.
