Welcome to our Reception/Year 1 class
We are called Sheep class, after the parable of the Lost Sheep, and every child matters to us, just as every sheep mattered to Jesus. But don’t let our name fool you..we may start off in Reception as lambs, but through our first two years at school we learn to be independent, inquisitive and imaginative young learners! We have a lovely classroom, filled with quality resources and inspiring activities to get stuck into, plus a brand new domestic role-play room (complete with kitchen, lounge and bedroom areas!). We are also very lucky to have a huge, wooded outdoor area where children can get cooking in our mud-kitchen, get building in our large construction area, or simply curl up and listen to our teacher, Mrs Gkikopoulos, read us a great book in our cosy reading shack. There really is something for every kind of sheep in our class!

Children also made their own poppy suncatchers … Read more
We had a lovely final Discovery Cafe of the academic year. Again, a huge thanks to Debbie, Dawn and Mrs Graves with Max.
Today, we enjoyed our trip at Gressenhall with Stibbard. We had to help Cinderella and Jack (from Jack and the Beanstalk) find all of the special objects from the fairytales that the Wicked Witch had hidden! The children were exceptionally behaved and had a fantastic day!
We have had a lovely morning at the Tennis Festival. We explored lots of tennis skills and worked really hard at all of the activities.
This half term, we have been learning all about the difference between a fixed and a growth mindset. We have learnt about the brain and how we can adopt a growth mindset in all aspects of our learning. This week we wanted to show this through Art and ‘sprinkled’ all things we would like to … Read more

We looked at recipes, wrote a shopping list and wrote letters asking for some electrical equipment to help us! We learnt about cleanliness and safety whilst cooking. We took turns and listened to each other’s ideas throughout. We … Read more
